When vendors are lauching R9 390 or 390X cards these days it almost looks like they're killing time until there are enough Fury and Fury X chips to push the cards to the market, for which their customers are actually waiting. Nevertheless Gigabyte adds two rather interesting Radeon R9 390 graphics cards to its portfolio, which feature a WindForce 2X cooler.
In essence these cards are R9 390 series G1.Gaming models without factory overclocking. The new models go by the precise names R939WF2-8GD (R9 390) and R939XWF2-8GD (R9 390X). Both cards feature the exact same cooler, which can also be found on the G1.Gaming series models. As we already mentioned there is no factory overclocking and apparently the box-art is different as well. Gigabyte's new WindForce 2X cooler also supports a 0 dBA mode when the card is in idle, which basically means, that the fans are not spinning and therefore the card is inaudible.
So far there is no information regarding pricing. It can be expected that these two models are a little bit cheaper than the G1.Gaming cards, since there is no factory overclocking.
