According to the latest report, Samsung might launch its flagship Galaxy Note 5 earlier than expected in order to beat the new Apple iPhone to market.
According to
a new report from The Wall Street Journal, Samsung might not wait for IFA 2015 show in September to launch its newest flagship Galaxy Note 5 smartphone, but rather launch it in August in order to beat the Apple iPhone to the market.
Bear in mind, IFA 2015 show which kicks off in Berlin in September, was usually the place where Samsung launched its Galaxy Note smartphone but now it appears that Apple has pushed the right buttons as the new iPhone could also come in September, pushing Samsung to launch its flagship smartphone earlier.
The Wall Street Journal suggest that mid-August is currently the launch date, citing a "person familiar with the matter." Earlier,
SamMobile revealed some specifications regarding both the new Galaxy Note 5 and the rumored Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, which also might end up to be called the Note 5 Edge.
According to details, both smartphone will pack a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2560x1440 and actually be the first smartphones to use Samsung's Exynos 7422 SoC, which include a 64-bit octa-core CPU, GPU, RAM storage and Samsung own LTE modem, all in a single package.
In any case, the flagship smartphone market will certainly heat up in the next two months and hopefully we will see some true flagship smartphones that will bring some impressive features to the market.
