At E3 2015 show in Los Angeles, Microsoft has announced that the Xbox One will now have backward compatibility with a number of Xbox 360 games.
During its E3 2015 keynote, Microsoft's Xbox Chief, Phil Spencer, dropped a bomb announcing that Xbox One is getting backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games. While the current list only includes 21 titles, Microsoft will expand that list quite soon.
Users that purchased digital Xbox 360 titles should become automatically available on the Xbox dashboard, as soon as Xbox One starts supporting those games. Those games that are on a physical copy, can be inserted into Xbxo One and installed on HDD, when it becomes compatible that is.
Currently, the list has only 21 preview titles, including Mass Effect, Perfect Dark, Perfect Dark Zero, Super Meqat Boy, and some others but Microsoft did promise that the list will expand greatly over the coming months and expects over 100 Xbox 360 games to be supported before the winter season.
All the game saves, achievements as well as add-ons from Xbox 360 games will be transferred to the Xbox One and Microsoft also noted that Xbox One will support Game DVR, Screenshots and Windows 10 streaming on those games as well and even allow users to go multiplayer between consoles.
