OCZ had quite a few new SSDs at Computex 2015 show in Taipei including the new and already announced Z-Drive 6000, Z-Drive 6300 and the Intrepid 3000 series enterprise SSDs.
In addition to the earlier detailed Trion 100 series entry-level SSD as well as the new XD-JX Series M.2 NVMe SSD series, OCZ Storage Solutions also showcased its earlier announced Z-Drive 6000/6300 series SSDs.
Based on NVMe 1.1b Gen 3 x4 PCI-Express interface in 2.5-inch form-factor with hot-plug SFF-8639 single port, the Z-Drive 6000 series NVM Express SSD for enterprise application will be available in 800GB, 1.6TB and 3.2TB capacities, uses the latest Toshiba MLC NAND, has Power Loss Protection (PLP), 1DWPD for 5 years endurance ration and provides up to 2900MB/s of sequential performance with 700,000 IOPS of random 4K performance.
The Z-Drive 6300 series is a similar product also based on NVMe 1.1b Gen. 3 x4 PCI-Express interface but in a half-height, half-length (HHHL) add-in card (AIC) form-factor (available in 2.5-inch 15mm SFF form factor as well). Unlike the Z-Drive 6000 series, the Z-Drive 6300 will be available in 800GB, 1.6TB, 3.2TB and 6.4TB capacities and will be based on Toshiba's eMLC NAND flash. It also has better 3DWPD for 5 years endurance rating as well as the same Power Loss Protection (PLP) and same up to 2900MB/s sequential and up to 700,000 IOPS random performance.
In addition to the Z-Drive 6000/6300 series, OCZ Storage Solutions also showcased its newest Intrepid 3000 series SATA-interface based SSD for enterprise applications. It uses standard 2.5-inch form-factor with SATA 6Gbps interface and is based on Marvell's 88SS9187 controller with OCZ Enterprise Firmware. It is also based on Toshiba's eMLC NAND and has 1DWPD (for 3700 series) and 4DWPD (for 3800 series) for 5 years endurance rating.
The Intrepid 3700 series will be available in 240GB to 2TB capacities, while the Intrepid 3800 series will be available in 100GB to 800GB capacities. Both features Power Loss Protection (PLP) and have up to 540MB/s sequential and up to 90,000 IOPS random performance.
OCZ did not talk about pricing during Computex 2015 but these should be already available to OCZ's enterprise customers.
