ASUS is working on a new STRIX cooler for its high-end graphics card lineup and it has been spotted at Computex 2015 show in Taipei.
To debut with the Geforce GTX 980 Ti STRIX OC, which we will most likely host in our review lab, the new STRIX cooler will be quite an impressive thing able to cope with 250W TDP GM200 GPU. It will feature three 100mm fans which will cool the large aluminum heatsink connected to the GPU via 10mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes.
According to known details, the fans will not spin up until the GPU hits 65°C and it will be even silent when it does spin up.
As you can see from the pictures below, the upcoming ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX OC will feature a rather large custom PCB and have a backplate. It will also come with a 15 percent factory-overclock, which is quite an impressive thing to do with air cooling.
Hopefully we will manage to get a hands-on with the new GTX 980 TI STRIX OC graphics card and squeeze out some more details regarding the actual specifications of the new graphics card.
