AMD Fiji XT could be called Radeon Fury

To compete with GTX Titan X

We have already heard rumors that AMD might reserve a special name for its upcoming Fiji XT GPU based flagship graphics card and the recent one suggest it might be called the AMD Radeon Fury.

While earlier reports were quite solid and suggested that AMD new Radeon 300 series lineup will mostly be based on improved rebrands, while the Fiji XT GPU based flagship graphics card will get a new name, we could not hear or confirm the actual name for that flagship.

According to a new report coming from Chiphell.com, AMD might get its inspiration from ATI's glory days and the ATI Rage series graphics cards and call the new flagship the AMD Radeon Fury.

The new AMD flagship will be quite shorter than what we usually expect from a flagship high-end graphics card, mostly thanks to the new High Bandwidth Memory, which is now stacked on the GPU package. Earlier reports and pictures also suggested that it will also come with an AIO liquid cooler with a 120x120 radiator.

While we still do not have full and official specifications, we did see that it will need two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors and feature three DisplayPort 1.2a and single HDMI 2.0 display outputs.

AMD wants its Fiji XT flagship graphics card to compete with Nvidia's GTX Titan X and according to what we hear, this just might be the case.
