According to a short teaser posted by EA, we will see a new Need for Speed game during this week, or precisely on May 21.

Electronic Arts (EA) has posted a picture teaser at its Facebook page which promises the first look at the new Need for Speed game on Thursday, May 21. The unveil will happen at the Need for Speed YouTube channel.

The teaser picture only had May 21st as the day of "the return of NFS" but when the picture is brighten up, it reveals two cards drifting across a city track, which suggest that we will probably see a new Underground series Need for Speed game.
