If you follow our site on a daily basis you have probably noticed our section called the "Rig of the day". A few months ago we came across several rigs made by Swedish modder Justin "MetallicAcid" Ohlsen and today we are pleased to present his first mod which is sponsored by Ocaholic.
When this project is concerned, Justin did some different mods regarding both the layout as well as the design. For Elegance mod, he use the Raijintek Metis, a small case which we had a chance to review a few months ago, and which is made from brushed aluminum and compatible with mini-ITX motherboards.
As you could have guessed from the title, this mod is all about a a small gaming HTPC made for a living room with a special focus on design. Since it's always about a nice look, Justin did a huge cut from top to left side panel and also made a few covers for the power supply and the graphics card in order to keep an elegant color scheme based only on gray gradient. He also reversed the internal layout of the Metis in order to improve the airflow for the power supply and the graphics card.
Hardware wise, the mod is based on Intel's Pentium G3258 CPU paired up with Gigabyte Z97N-WiFi motherboard and a Cryorig C7 cooler. The system also includes an EVGA GTX 750Ti ITX graphics card and the entire system is powered by a Silverstone SX600-G with purple and gray sleeved cables.
