Kingston announces Impact SO-DIMM memory at Computex 2014

New high-end SO-DIMM DDR3 memory

In addition to the HyperX Fury gaming SSD, Kingston has also relesed the new HyperX Impact SO-DIMM memory kits which will replace the existing Genesis, PnP and LoVo SO-DIMM lineup. Aimed to be used wiht small form-factor performance systems like the Gigabyte's BRIX, Intel NUC or Zotac's ZBox lineup, the Hyper Impact will be available in up to 16GB kits with frequencies ranging from 1600 to 2400MHz.


The newly announced Kingston HyperX Impact have already reached world record for fastest SO-DIMM at 2666MHz. As noted, the new HyperX Impact SO-DIMM lineup will be available in 4 and 8GB single modules as well as 8 and 16GB kits while the frequency will range from 1600MHz to 2400MHz starting at 1.35V. The latencies will be set between CL9 and CL12 and will be fully compatible with Intel's M65, HM67, HM70, HM75, HM76, HM77, HM86, HM87, QM67, QM87, QS67, UM67 and UM77 chipsets.

Unfortunately, Kingston did not shed any light on the actual price or the precise availability date for any of the new HyperX Impact SO-DIMM modules or kits.
