The Republic of Gamers lineup features a great amount of products designed for gamers by ASUS and whether you are looking for a high-end components or quality peripherals, the ROG brand is probably the best choice. Gamers on the move are not forgotten either as ASUS has created a new gaming laptop for them.
The ASUS ROG G550JK is the latest 15.6” gaming laptop from ASUS. Depending on what model you choose, it can either feature a Full HD IPS LED panel, or an HD panel with 1366x768 resolution.
Some components can't be replaced, like the Intel Core i7-4770HQ CPU, which should be more than enough for the Nvidia Geforce GTX 850M they equipped the G550JK with. Other than that, we have 16GB of DDR3-1600 memory and a lot of storage options, thanks to the double SATA III 2.5” bays. We have 5400 and 7200RPM drives, with 750GB, 1TB and 1.5TB capacity, and a 256GB SSD. Unfortunately there is no M.2 or mSATA slots, which could have easily found their place inside this little beast.
It weighs 2.5kg and measures 383x255x27.7mm. Price is yet to be disclosed, but ASUS noted that the new ASUS ROG G550JK laptop will be available starting today, and if we are lucky we going to get our hands on it inside the ASUS' booth at Computex, which starts today.
