EK Water Blocks has announced that it will offer its Full Cover Backplates for the AMD Radeon R9 290 as well as Nvidia GTX 770, 780 (Ti) and the GTX Titan (Black) in three new color choices.


Earlier available only in black, the EK Water Blocks new EK-FC Backplates will now be available in Red, Blue and Gold colors. Although mainly serving as an aesthetic detail for high-end graphics cards, these full cover backplates also provide passive cooling for the memory on the backside of the PCB (on Geforce GTX Titan for example) as well as cooling the VRM parts located on the back of the PCB. These full cover blocks also add to general rigidity of the graphics card as well.

The entire lineup of color anodized backplates should already be available via EK Webshop as well as its reseller network with a price set at €31,95 for any option.
