Nokia’s photo expert moves to Apple

After Nokia’s acquisition by Microsoft

Just a few days after Nokia’s acquisition by Microsoft, the mobile camera specialist Ari Partinen leaves his Redmond employer. At the beginning of the summer he will start to work for Apple.

Since 2007, Partinen worked as Lumia Photography Lead at Nokia. He is an expert for the adjustment of Nokia's Pure View technology. The Lumia 1020 was the first Lumia smartphone which got this technology last year.

Considering the skill and knowledge of Ari Partinen, this is not a big surprise. Apple gives much more attention to the image quality of smartphones now and wants to outdo his competitor from Finland. By the words of the biographer Walter Isaacson, Steve Jobs wanted to reinvent photography.

Unfortunately, we still do not know the role which Ari Partinen will take in Apple. He also announced his transfer to Apple via twitter.
