Gigabyte already features a Gaming BRIX system in its portfolio, but they decided to announce another model. The new BRIX will feature an Intel Haswell CPU and an Nvidia GPU.
The new Gigabyte BRIX system should satisfy every gaming need you might have, as it features a dual-core Intel i5 4200H CPU, with a 2.8Ghz base clock and a 3.4Ghz Turbo clock, and an Nvidia GTX 760. With these specifications, this system should pack quite a punch, and it should be able to run the latest games without any problems, even though it would have been better to have two more cores.
Little cases are always a problem when it comes to cooling and inside this little box we find a CPU with a 47W TDP, which is really easy to cool. Of course, the 170W TDP GPU might create some problems. We think it would have been better to use a Maxwell GPU inside this little rig, like the GTX 750 Ti. The motherboard features two SO-DIMM slots and both mSATA and 2.5-inch SATA support for drives. As far as the connections are concerned, there are four USB 3.0, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, audio, HDMI and mini DisplayPort.
The new Gigabyte BRIX system should be officially announced next month, along with official price. In a few month it should be followed by a Core i7 version, with, what we hope to be, a better graphics solution.
