Biostar announces new miniITX fanless motherboard

Based on AMD Kabini

The low TDP AMD APUs are finally here and manufacturers are starting to unveil their versions of motherboards based on those same chips. Biostar has announced its newest A68N-5000 miniITX motherboards based on AMD's A4-5000 Kabini APU.

As noted, the Biostar A68N-5000 is a miniITX motherboard with a passive cooled A4-5000 Kabini APU clocked at 1.5GHz. The APU features a HD 8330 GPU with support for DirectX 11.1 and HDMI. It also features two DDR3-1600 DIMM slots but with a 16GB limit. The rest of the specifications include PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slot (x4) as well as two SATA 3.0 ports.

The connectivity side features two PS/2 ports, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports (with additional two on-board headers), D-Sub, HDMI and Ethernet port. Unfortunately, there is still no info regarding the price or the availability date but hopefully we will see this one on the market pretty soon.
