According to the report from the MSI official Facebook page, the upcoming MSI M-Power and X-Power series of motherboards which are usually designed and aimed at enthusiasts and hardcore overclockers will now feature a rather interesting new feature called the Delid Die Guard.
The feature will mostly appeal those hardcore overclockers which usually de-lid, or precisely remove the IHS, from their CPU in order to improve heat transfer between the die and the cooler, or in most case, the LN2 pot. Called the Delid Die Guard, the feature is actually an accessory which replaces the LGA socket brace and runs all around the die and levels off with the die so LN2 pots will not actually squeeze the die itself but rather the brace.
According to MSI official Facebook page, the new Delid Die Guard feature could first show up with the upcoming MSI M-Power motherboards based on the Intel Z97 Express chipset.
