Watch Dogs PC version looks impressive with Nvidia

Cinematic anti-aliasing, horizon ambient occlusion

Ubisoft's Watch Dogs game definitely did not have a smooth ride so far and while Playstation 4 trailers were far from impressive, the latest one, which was done with co-operation with Nvidia and which shows the game in its full glory with some new Nvidia technologies, certainly looks impressive.

Although it is not clear which configuration is used to render the last trailer and while some scenes are still shady, some scenes are certainly very impressive mostly thanks to a couple of new features including the horizon based ambient occlusion, also known as the HBO+, which should provide a more richer and detailed shadows and be much faster, efficient and significantly better compared previous techniques, as well as the TXAA, a new "cinematic" anti-aliasing which should reduce flickering across some game elements like trees, cables or grass.

Ubisoft's Watch Dogs game will be released simultaneously on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4 on May 27th and we are sure we will see more benchmarks once it has been released.
