CPU-World.com managed to get their hands on two socket AM1 Kabini APUs, which were on sale in the US, the Athlon 5150 and the Athlon 5350. The two new Kabini APUs are a part of AMD's AM1 platform and are both quad-core parts with Radeon R3 graphics part.
As noted, both the Athlon 5150 and the Athlon 5350 are quad-core parts based on AM1 socket (socket FS1b) and are not compatible with socket FM2 motherboards. Both new APUs packs 2MB of L2 cache, same 25W TDP and feature Radeon R3 series GPU with 128 stream processors and clocked at 600MHz. The Ahtlon 5150 works at 1.6GHz while the Athlon 5350 is clocked slightly higher at 2.05GHz.
The price is set at US $54 for the Athlon 5350 and US $45 for the lower clocked Athlon 5150. AMD is also expected to come up with Sempron E-Series Kabini lineup and both Athlon and Sempron AM1 socket APUs are all scheduled for official launch on 9th of April.
