be quiet! has released two new power supplies which are aimed at high-performance compact systems based on SFX and TFX form factors, the SFX Power 2 and the TFX Power 2. Both are based on dual +12V rail design and feature high efficiency as well as an improved cooling performance compared to previous models.


Despite their small dimensions, both the TFX Power 2 and the SFX Power 2 are equipped with sleeved cables with lengs of up to 50cm on the SFX and up to 65 on the TFX form-factor model and offer enough ports to power a modern mini-ITX system including high-end graphics cards that need a 6+2-pin PCI-Express power connector.

Both PSUs also offer high efficiency of up to 89 per cent which is enough for the 80Plus Bronze standard as well as up to 91 per cent on the special version of the TFX Power 2 with 80Plus Gold certification. Both are cooled by a single 80mm temperature controlled fan and based on dual +12V rail design.

The TFX Power 2 will be available in two versions, depending on the power efficiency and in output of 300W, while the SFX Power 2 will be available in 300 and 400W version. The TFX Power 2 will retail at €55 and €67 while the SFX Power 2 will be available for €55 for the 300W and €67 for the 400W model. Both should be already available according to be quiet!.
