We already wrote a bit about the MSI GTX 780 Ti Lightning graphics card and now French site Le Comptoir du Hardware, as well as some other sites including PC Perspective and Guru3D, have officially published a review of the graphics card including benchmarks, overclocking as well as detailed pictures of every single component on the new GTX 780 Ti Lightning.


Based on a completely custom PCB, the MSI GTX 780 Ti Lightning could have been the best GTX 780 Ti money can buy if only MSI has not decided not to launch the graphics card in retail/e-tail but rather stick with a few samples for extreme overclockers and a couple of select review sites.

The new GTX 780 Ti Lightning is definitely the cream-of-the-crop when it comes to GTX 780 Ti and should be a decent match for EVGA's GTX 780 Ti Classified Kingpin Edition. With a custom PCB which is taller than any GTX 780 Ti on the market, custom 20-phase VRM drawing power from two 8-pin PCI-Express power connectors and MSI's own TriFrozr cooler to keep it well cooled for standard sessions, the new GTX 780 Ti Lightning certainly impressed all the reviewers.

According to a couple of first results, the GTX 780 Ti Lightning is an impressive overclocker and since it is really made for LN2 cooling and extreme overclocking we are sure that we will see and hear more about this graphics card as soon as some extreme overclockers get their hands on it.

In any case, it is definitely too bad that we will not see this one in retail/e-tail as it is certainly an impressive piece of hardware. You can check out review links for those couple of sites below.
