Free version to disappear

There is software which defintely makes your everyday life easier and one of these code pieces comes from LogMeIn. Thanks to this program it's possible to access computers via the network or via the internet within seconds.

For those who don't know LogMeIn here a brief summary: since meanwhile ten years LogMeIn give useres the possibility to take over control of a PC that is in the same network or accessible via the internet. There is even the possibility to access a PC via your smartphone, which is very practical if you're on the road and you want have to check a system from a customer of yours.
According to a blog entry over at LogMeIn, the software will no longer be free anymore.

A closer look at the pricing model reveals, that there are quite steep prices in order to get a copy that allows controlling several different PC's.

  • 44.95 Euro for 1 PC
  • 189.00 Euro for 5 PC's
  • 339.00 Euro for 10 PC's
  • 829.00 Euro for 25 PC's


Other than that there is also a mothly subscription model, that looks the following.

  • 11.99 Euro/month 1 PC
  • 31.20 Euro/month 5 PC's
  • 56.20 Euro/month 10 PC's
  • 130.75 Euro/month 25 PC's
