Be quiet! has announced three new CPU cooler ranging from 160 to 250W of cooling capacities which will be a part of its Dark Rock and Shadow Rock series, the Shadow Rock Slim, Dark Rock 3 and the Dark Rock Pro 3.
The Shadow Rock Slim is the third be quiet! cooler in the Shadow Rock series and is aimed to be used in smaller PC cases thanks to its compact single-tow slim design. Despite its smaller and 74mm slim dimensions, it still packs six high-performance heatpipes transfering the heat from the base to tightly packed heatsink which is then cooled by a 135mm be quiet! fan. The fan itself features rifle bearings and nine flow-optimized fan blades. The new Shadow Rock Slim has a cooling capacity of 160W and produces 23.7 dBA of noise. It also comes with a high quality top cover and has support for the second fan as well.
The Dark Rock series got two new additions, the Dark Rock Pro 3 and the Dark Rock 3. The Dark Rock 3 features six high-performance 6mm heatpipes connected to a single triple-heatsink tower design with optimized aluminum fins which is cooled by a single 135mm fan. It has support for second fan, features dark nickel coating, is able to dissipate up to 190W at maximum noise of 21.1dBA.
The flagship Dark Rock Pro 3 on the other hand features a slightly different design with a pair of dual-heatsinks with a 135mm fan between them. The heatsink are designed with special fins which minimize noise and improve the cooling. It comes with seven high-performance 6mm heatpipes and even features an extra aluminum heatsink on the base plate. With the supplied 120mm and 135mm fans mounted on it, the Dark Rock Pro 3 has a cooling capacity of 250W and can be equipped with an extra 120mm fan as well. It also comes with dark nickel plating and has a massive brushed aluminum black top cover.
All three coolers support all current Intel and AMD sockets and should be available immediately. The Shadow Rock Slim has a suggested retail price of €40.90/US $45.90, while the Dark Rock 3 and Dark Rock Pro 3 have suggested retail prices of €63/US $69 and €79/US $89.
