ASRock has announced that it is officially the world's first motherboard manufacturer to support AMD's 2400+ AMP (AMD Memory Profile) with its two new motherboards, the FM2A88X Extreme6+ and FM2A88X-ITX+, which both passed the tests and obtained AMD 2400 Ready logos. In addition to those two motherboards, ASRock noted that its entire FM2+ Series motherboards will soon support the new AMP 2400 standard.
According to ASRock, the overclocking just became a bit easier and thanks to AMD's latest AMP 2400 standard and memory modules which support these technologies, users simply have to choose the desired memory frequency in ASRock UEFI Utility. Those looking for a tad bit more, including additional overclocking and tuning should probably focus on ASRock FM2A88X Extreme6+ and its gold capacitors, Digi Power 8+2 VRM design, Home Cloud and Purity Sound features and if you are looking for something cleaner and smaller, than FM2A88X-ITX+ should be perfect for home theater rigs with its onboard mSATA/eSATA combo and integrated 802.11n WiFi, according to ASRock.
Pushing the memory up to 2400MHz will certainly have a big impact on graphics card performance and while ASRock might be the first one around, we are quite sure every other manufacturer will focus on that feature.
