Nvidia preparing GTX 780 Ti 6GB for launch

Coming as soon as GTX Titan stock clears

According to a report from Wccftech.com, citing Nvidia AIC sources, it appears that Nvidia is preparing to launch the new GTX 780 Ti with 6GB of memory.

The Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 Ti certainly has a lot of potential and a couple of reviews proved that 3GB of memory is a certain bottleneck for the GTX 780 Ti, especially now that the 4K monitor gaming is becoming a much cheaper reality. According to Wccftech.com, Nvidia and its Add-In-Card (AIC) partners are simply waiting for the GTX Titan stock to clear in order to launch the GTX 780 Ti 6GB.

The GTX Titan is a completely different beast and the GTX 780 Ti is pretty much the same graphics card but without impressive compute performance.

In case you missed it, the GTX 780 Ti is based on the same 28nm GK110 GPU with 7.1 billion transistors seen on the GTX 780 and the GTX Titan but has 5 enabled graphics processing clusters (GPCs), 15 stream multiprocessors (SMs) or simply 2880 CUDA cores. It also features 240 texture units (TMUs), 48 ROPs and 1536K of L2 cache.

In any case, we will ask around and keep our ear close to the ground for the impending GTX 780 Ti 6GB launch.
