EVGA rolls out new 430W and 500W power supplies

Aimed at entry-level systems

To show that everything is not about high-end systems that draw more power than some of the household appliances, EVGA has released two new power supply units aimed at entry-level systems, the EVGA 430W and the EVGA 500W PSUs.

Based on a non-modular and single +12V rail design, the new 430W and 500W PSUs feature active PFC, 80PLUS certification with up to 80 percent efficiency and are cooled by a single low-noise 120mm fan. As it is the case with most PSUs from EVGA, these two also come with over voltage, under voltage, over current, over power, short circuit and over temperature protection as well as a three-year warranty.

The EVGA 430W (100-W1-0430-KR) and the EVGA 500W (100-W1-0500-KR) are listed as "coming soon" and hopefully find their way into many entry-level office systems as they are most likely much better than most of the generic ones on the market.
