Earlier today we reported that VR-Zone have leaked two slide on two high-capacity SSDs from Intel. Now they're leaking even more information and this time it's actually quite big news, since Intel is planning to prepare it's processors to support Googles Android operating System. In other words this means that Intel is expecting that Android is also going to play a more important role in the PC and notebook market.

VR-Zone published a slide which carries the title "Android PC Platform Roadmap", which show, that Intels Broadwell and Braswell processors are going to support Googles Android operating system. Beginning next year, Intels platforms should make it on Googles compatibility lists for Android version 4.4 "KitKat", which is based on Linux Kernel version 3.10 with 64 Bit support.

According to VR-Zone Braswell is going to be the successor of Broadwell and it will be the first CPU manufactured using 14 nanometer process technology. So far it is expected, that Braswell gets announce somewhen in the second half of next year. One year later, in 2015, Skylake is to follow which will support DDR4 memory.

Another interesting finding is, that Intel is not only optimizing it's SoCs for Android but also their Bay Trail-M as well as Bay-Trail-D processors, which are basically parts for desktop PCs. Also all Haswell processors for Ultrabooks should support for Googles Android somewhen next year.
