AMD has released a new version of its Beta Catalyst 13.11 graphics driver, the Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2. The new Beta9.2 brings a couple of improvements for the Call of Duty: Ghost game as well as fixes the problem with the PowerTune on the Radeon R9 290 series graphics cards.
According to the release notes, the new Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 graphics driver brings improved anti-aliasing performance in recently released Activision's Call of Duty: Ghosts game title as well as an updated Crossfire profile for the game.
Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 also fixes the PowerTune issue with a tweak that will "reduce the variance of fan speed/RPM" on the Radeon R9 290 Series graphics cards that has been plaguing AMD R9 290 Series graphics cards making them behave differently under various conditions, and thus providing a suspicion that the retail version might actually be slower than the review samples. The new Beta9.2 version of the Catalyst 13.11 graphics driver also fixed crashing bugs seen in legacy DirectX 9 applications.
As always, the new Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 is available for Windows 7, 8 and Windows 8.1 OS and supports AMD Radeon R9, R7, HD 7000, HD 6000 and HD 5000 Series graphics cards. You can find the new Catalyst 13.11 Beta9.2 driver via link below.
