Sony Playstation 4 torn down on video

Should not be afraid of Xbox One

Sony is definitely gearing up for the launch of the new Playstation 4 console and it is confident enough to do a unique tear down of the console in front of the camera, showing its innards as well as a quite impressive amount of craftsmanship.

Just a few days before the official launch, scheduled for 15th of November, Sony called Wired to its headquarters in Japan to take a look of the Playstation 4 insides. The level of craftsmanship of the assembled device is quite impressive considering that the entire device is held by a rather small number of screws. It is even more impressive if you see that the 500GB HDD is held by a single screw which means that it will be quite easy to upgrade it at a later date.

The tear down video also shows some other quite impressive details including the internal power supply, AMD's APU as well as the 85mm blower fan and rather large dual-heatpipe heatsink that keeps all the components well cooled.
