Intel launches six new mobile Celeron CPUs

ULV parts

Intel has updated its processor lineup by introducing six new models that will be a part of ultra-low voltage mobile Celeron lineup and be based on Haswell and Silvermont architecture.

As noted, all six new parts will be a part of ultra-low voltage (ULV) mobile Celeron lineup. Two new chips will be based on the Haswell architecture, the Celeron 2981U and the Celeron 2957U. Both chips are dual cores without Hyper-Threading support and with 2MB of cache. The Celeron 2981U works at 1.6GHz while the Celeron 2957U is clocked at 1.4GHz.

Other four new mobile Celeron CPUs are based on the Silvermont architecture and part of Intel's Bay Trail-M lineup and includes the Celeron N2920, N2820, N2815 and the Celeron N2806. The N2820, N2815 and the Celeron N2806 are both dual-core parts clocked at 2.13GHz, 1.86 and 1.6GHz, lack Hyper-threading and pack 1MB of cache. The Celeron N2920 is a quad-core part, also lacks Hyper-Threading, works at 1.86GHz and packs 2MB of cache.

All six parts should show up in various notebooks pretty soon and are priced at US $137 and US $132 for two Haswell based parts and US $132 for each of the four Silvermont architecture based parts.
