As expected during the launch day of a big title like EA/DICE's Battlefield 4, AMD has rolled out its seventh beta build of the Catalyst 13.11 driver that includes all the performance improvements and bug fixes from previous beta versions as well as brings a much better Crossfire scaling for the Battlefield 4 title.
Available "only" for Windows 7, 8 and Windows 8.1 OS, the new driver support all the AMD Radeon graphics cards since Radeon HD 5000 series as well as certain APUs. As noted, the new driver also includes all the performance improvements from previous Catalyst 13.11 beta drivers as well as all the features included before and also brings up to an additional 20 percent better scaling of AMD Crossfire for Battlefield 4.
AMD is definitely becoming much better when it comes to GPU drivers although it would be a big surprise if they did not have a special driver for Battlefield 4 due to a deal that AMD struck with EA/DICE.
