Sapphire is one of the many AMD AIB partners that has decided to launch its own Radeon R9 290X graphics card that will be available with and without Battlefield 4 game and based on AMD's reference design.

Sapphire has actually done a bit more to differentiate its own R9 290X from the rest of the partners by placing a rather interesting looking sticker on the cooler. As expected, the Battlefield 4 Special Edition SKU will include an Origin key for the game.

In case you missed it earlier, AMD's Radeon R9 290X is based on the 28nm Hawaii XT GPU with 2816 stream processors, 176 texture memory units, 64 ROPs and a 512-bit memory interface paired up with 4GB of GDDR5 memory. It supports DirectX 11.2 as well as AMD's new Crossfire via PCI-Express, Eyefinity, and Mantle API and comes with two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs.

Sapphire is definitely one of the biggest AMD exclusive AIB partners and we are sure that most graphics cards on the market will definitely come from Sapphire. Of course, volume means better price and according to AMD, official price for the R9 290X is set at US $549.99 in the US and €399 ex. VAT in Europe.
