Apple rolls out Macbook Air SSD firmware update

For mid-2012 Macbook Air

Apple has finally released a quite an important firmware update for the SSD inside Macbook Air (mid-2012 model) that caused quite a few problems including a data loss in certain cases.

While it took Apple over a year to get the firmware update out Apple still has a lot of problems with those drivers as the firmware update might not only erase the existing data, so you should back it up somewhere, but also might not actually work on all drives, which will be replaced to owners for free.

It is always better to be late than to never address the problem, but it appears that Macbook Air SSD troubles are still not over.
