Nvidia announces Geforce ShadowPlay

Goes to Beta with Twitch support

During its Montreal event, Nvidia has announced its new Geforce ShadowPlay, a feature that allows you to record a 20 minutes of your gameplay and save the footage for some bragging rights.

Nvidia's Shadowplay is basically a hardware encoding enabled video recording utility that is a part of Geforce Experience and takes advantage of Nvidia's NVENC hardware H.264 encoder in order to reduce the overhead. It currently allows 20 minute of your gameplay to be recorded, captured and saved and now even streamed via Twitch.tv at 60fps while having almost no impact on game performance.

The Beta version of the Shadowplay will be rolling out on 28th of October when Nvidia also expects to launch its new game bundle and when we expect some more quite impressive news from Nvidia as well.
