In addition to the ROG Matrix R9 280X as well as the entire lineup of new AMD Radeon R9 and R7 series graphics cards that will be a part of Asus' DirectCU II lineup, Asus also launched two new graphics card that will be a part of the standard R7 series, the R7 250 and the R7 240.

Based on a low profile PCB, the R7 240 will feature Asus' Super Alloy Power components for stability, dust-proof fans and will work at 720MHz for the GPU and packs 2GB memory clocked at 1800MHz. In case you missed it earlier, the R7 240 is based on Oland Pro GPU with 320 stream processors.

The Asus R7 250 on the other hand uses a standard sized PCB and is based on Oland XT GPU with 384 stream processors. It works at 1000MHz for the GPU and ended up with 1GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4600MHz.

Both the R7 250 and the R7 240 have the same 128-bit memory interface.

Unfortunately, Asus did not reveal any details regarding the price but did note that the entire lineup should show up on retail/e-tail shelves on October 11th.
