G.Skill has expanded its RipjawsZ memory lineup with no less than 15 new DDR3 quad-channel memory kits that will be optimized for the new Intel Core i7 CPUS and the X79 chipset and will be available in speeds of up to 2933MHz for 16GB and 2666MHz for 64GB kits.
All 15 kits will be covering most speeds from 1866MHz to 2933MHz as well as all capacities from 16GB to 64GB and are aimed to be used with latest Intel Ivy Bridge-E Core i7 CPUs on the X79 chipset. Some of the high clocked kits that have tighter latencies will also come with a dual fan cooler that pairs up with G.Skill's recognizable RipjawsZ heatsinks.
The top of the line 2933MHz 16GB (4x4GB) kit will be working at 12-14-14-35 latencies at 1.65V and as a proof of concept, G.Skill even managed to get it up to 3000MHz with just air cooling. For its proof of 3GHz concept, G.Skill used an Intel i7-4960X CPU, an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme motherboard as well as the F3-2933C12Q-16GBZHD memory kit.
