While Microsoft announced that Xbox One will support up to eight controllers, SCE Worldwide Studios executive, Shuhei Yoshida, confirmed that Playstation will have support for up to four controllers.

Although Playstation 3 supported up to seven controllers at the same time, this option was quite rarely used as most, if not all games support up to four players. Microsoft's support for up to eight controllers at the same time does sound cool but we doubt that it will be used that much.

In any case, Microsoft can mark up a win for their Xbox One as the fact remains that it has support for more controllers than Playstation 4, even if it is not a big feature.
