Windows 8 results now accepted at HWBot

Only Futuremark results

Our very own Christian Ney has been working with Futuremark in order fix recent issues that Windows 8 had with certain CPUs and benchmarks due to the way that Windows 8 handles RTC (Real-time clock) in overclocked or downclocked systems, and HWBOT will now accept 3DMark and PCMark results when certain requirements are met.

According to Ney, tis is currently considered as a "dirty" fix since it requires online check and is not actually built in the benchmark for offline results. In order for your result to be accepted by HWBOT, you need ORB link, SystemInfo 4.20 or newer and simply submit the result via the upload form.

The new SystemInfo will check and monitor/log three different times and check values when the result is posted. Of course, Futuremark will further fix the problem in future and most likely we will see a more permanent fix that will be built into benchmark.
