Although it was on the list of compatible devices, alongside the new and old Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Galaxy Nexus as well as being one of the first to get the new Android 4.3, some users have reported big problems with Nexus 4 and the new Android 4.3 update. Most common problems are associated with overheating, rapid battery drain, miscellaneous crashing and even loop during boot which makes the device unusable.
There are even some reports that device slowed so much down that it became unusable as well as various reports that password is not being requested and thus preventing the device to be unlocked. There are also some various reports that the device lost its multi-touch capability and some are also reporting reception issues, disappearing data and even missing applications.
Some users have noted that erase and factory reset resolves problems in some cases while some users have no problems with their Nexus 4 and Android 4.3, including us. We have been running Android 4.3 on our Nexus 4 without any glitch or problem whatsoever.
Electronista had a chance to contact 14 different Nexus 4 users and five of them reported issues with their device after Android 4.3 update.
Unfortunately, there is still no word from Google regarding these problems so if your device is affected, best way to deal with it is to try the factory reset solution and if that does not work, RMA might be the best way to go.
