Although it has been already mentioned in November last year, Zalman has now officially announced its new Reserator 3 closed-loop liquid CPU cooler. Design wise, Zalman's Reserator 3 looks exactly the way you expect a Zalman cooler to look with bunch of chrome plating and LED lightning making it quite an interesting choice on the market.
The new Reserator 3 represents Zalman's push into the per-assembled CPU liquid-cooler market that started off with the CNPS20LQ, based on Asetek design. The Reserator 3 features a round design radiator with a 120mm LED fan that is connected to a block/pump. Unlike traditional designs, the radiator uses a combination of heatpipes and coolant tubes in order to cool down the CPU which is a decent novelty when it comes to liquid CPU cooler design.
According to Zalman, the new Reserator 3 can handle CPUs with TDP of up to 400W which makes it suitable for recently introduced AMD FX-9590, a CPU with probably the highest TDP on the market.
Unfortunately, Zalman did not shed any light regarding the actual price or the availability date of the new Reserator 3.
