Asus rolls out BIOS updates for X79 motherboards

Brings support for Ivy Bridge-E CPUs

Asus has started to roll out BIOS updates for its motherboard based on the X79 Express Chipset that will bring support for the upcoming Ivy Bridge-E HEDT processors.

As you already know, Intel is gearing up to release three new LGA2011 Ivy Bridge-E CPUs, the Core i7-4960X Extreme Edition, the Core i7-4930K, and the Core i7-4820K. The update BIOS lineup from Asus also includes its flagship X79-based motherboards, the ROG Rampage IV Extreme, ROG Rampage IV Formula and the micro-ATX ROG Rampage IV Gene. Of course, the BIOS update will be available for the TUF Sabertooth X79 as well as the P9X79 series of motherboards.

The BIOS updates are, as always, available at Asus' product support site. All we need now is Intel to finally release its Ivy Bridge-E HEDT lineup. In case you missed earlier rumors, the Ivy Bridge-E lineup should officially launch in early September.
