ADATA launches new XPG V2 3100 memory

Aimed at overclockers

ADATA has announced its latest addition to the XPG V2 memory series that will run at 3100MHz and be aimed at overclockers and enthusiasts. The new XPG V2 series memory kits is designed to bring ultimate performance to gamers on Intel's 4th generation Core Haswell CPUs and the latest Z87 Express chipset platform.

According to ADATA, the new XPG 3100 V2 is the result of a cooperation with Asrock and will support dual-channel mode and Intel XMP (Extreme Memory Profiles) version 1.3. ADATA XPG 3100 V2 uses 8-layer PCB paired up with XPG aluminum heatsink with Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT).

As far as the specs go, the XPG 3100 V2 is rated at 1333MHz with 9-9-9-24 latencies at 1.5V or at 3100MHz with 12-14-14-36 latencies at 1.65V. It will be available in 4GB modules and as a 8GB (2x4GB kit). When all those specs add up, it provides a peak transfer rate of 24,800MB/s at 3100MHz.

Unfortunately, the price or the actual availability date have not been announced but we guess we'll see the new XPG 3100 V2 in retail/e-tail pretty soon.
