Powercolor rolls out Devil HD 7870 graphics card

A new member of the Devil line

Powercolor has announced a new member of the top of the line Devil family, the Devil HD7870. As it was the case with previous Devil series graphics cards, this one also features a high-quality custom PCB and impressive factory-overclock.

As noted, the new Devil HD7870 features Powercolor's Platinum Power Kit, which include 7+1+1-phase design, Digital PWM and Sper Capacitors in order to provide maximum stability and reliable power delivery for the GPU. The new Devil HD7870 also uses the same triple-fan cooler seen on the Devil 13 graphics card that feature four heatpipes and a large heatsink. According to Powercolor, this should be enough to keep the card up to 25 percent cooler and 18 percent quieter when compared to the reference HD 7870 graphics card.

All of these feature were enough to launch the HD 7870 graphics card that works at 1100MHz GPU clock and 1250MHz (5.0GHz effective) memory clock. It feature 2GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface and features two DVI, HDMI and two mini-DisplayPort outputs.

Unfortunately, the price or the actual availability date have not been announced.
