Creative Technology has announced the new line of Sound Blaster EVO headsets that will be led by the Sound Blaster EVO ZxR, the world's first wireless headset that uses a built-in multi-core Sound Blaster SB-Axx1 processor.
The full lineup includes the Sound Blaster EVO ZxR wireless and EVO Zx wireless as a high-end offer and Sound Blaster EVO wireless and Sound Blaster EVO as the value editions in the new EVO series. The entire lineup features high-quality wireless that uses aptX and AAC Bluetooth audio codecs to deliver highest possible audio quality with lowest latency, NFC for tap to connect feature and will be available with USB and Analog wired options.
As noted earlier, the high-end offer including the Sound Blaster EVO ZxR and the EVO Zx will feature Creative's SB-Axx1 processor with SBX Pro studio features, CrystalVoice feature with noise, acoustic echo, inNoiseReduction and focus enhancements for the microphone, while two entry level offers will lack the SB-Axx1 processor but still deliver good quality sound thanks to usage of the same high-quality and powerful 40mm drivers.
All those gimmicks and features do come with a price so the EVO ZxR wireless will have a US $299.99 price tag while the Zx will be sold for US $229.99. The value Sound Blaster EVO wireless and the Sound Blaster EVO will be selling for US $179.99 and US $129.99 and the entire series should be on retail/e-tail shelves in July 2013.
