Regarding the GeForce GTX 780, ASUS didn't ship any custom cards at the launch like they did quite a few times in the past. They took some time to refine their DirectCU II cooler and they now shipped the first samples to media. Obviously we got one and we've take many detailed pictures.
The new DirectCU II Cooler comes with no less than five heatpipes and three out of those five heatpipes have a diameter of ten millimeter. The other two heatpipes come with six millimeter diameter. Furthermore ASUS equipped the heatsink with one of their new fans, which is a combination of a radial and an axial fan. In the past ASUS demonstrated that these fans are able to move more air at the same noise level like a standard axial fan.
A closer look at the clock speeds shows, that base clock is at 902 MHz and max boost clock is advertised to be at 942 MHz. Regaring connectors you find one dual-link DVI-I, one dual-link DVI-D, one HDMI and one DisplayPort 1.2.
But now it's really time to step forward to the really exciting part: the new pictures.
