Asus has decided to announce its new DirectCU II thermal solution and pair it up with the GTX 780 graphics card in order to get a rather decent factory-overclock.
According to detail, the new DirectCU II features new 10mm heatpipes, Asus' CoolTech 360-degree fan solution and increased heatsink size. It still uses two fans and it will feature a backplate, at least on the Asus GTX 780 DirectCU II OC.
The Asus GTX 780 DC2 OC also comes with a 100% custom PCB with Asus DIGI+ VRM and SAP components and works at up to 941MHz with Boost. It still features 3GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface and clocked at reference 6008MHz.
Unfortunately, Asus did not shed any light on the actual price or the availability date of the GTX 780 DC2 OC but we are sure that we will see it sooner rather than later.
