ADATA shows AXNP280E NGFF SSD for Ultrabooks

Up to 1800MB/s of performance

In addition to the SX1000, SX2000 enterprise and SX920 consumer SSDs showcased at Computex, ADATA also revealed a rather impressive AXNP280E NGFF SSD aimed at Ultrabooks that should bring performance of up to 1800MB/s.

Based on the next-generation form-factor (NGFF), the AXNP280E uses a version of the LSI-Sandforce SF-8639 controller and PCI-Express 2.0 x4 interface. It should offer sequential transfer speeds of up to 1800MB/s while 4k random should be at around 200,000 IOPS. As it is aimed at Ultrabooks, the new AXNP280E is a bit constrained with PCB real-estate so we will only see 128, 256 and 512GB versions.

Techpowerup managed to grab a picture of the one on display at Computex.
