MSI launches three mini-ITX LGA 1150 motherboards

MSI Z87I, H87I and B85I

MSI has decided to announce no less than three different mini-ITX motherboards based on Intel 8-series Express chipset, the MSI Z87I, H87I and the B85I. As it can be seen from actual model names, these three will be based on Z87, H87 and B85 chipsets and feature pretty much the same design with a 4-phase VRM, two DDR3 DIMM slots and a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot.

The MSI Z87I and the H87I are pretty much identical and both feature VRM heatsink, 802.11bgn WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, 7.1-channel audio, Gigabit Ethernet and all other features expected from Intel 8-series chipset including six USB 3.0 ports, bunch of USB 2.0 ones, DVI and HDMI outputs and four SATA 6Gbps ports. The difference between the Z87I and the H87I lies in overclocking support as well as the number of Intel Gigabit Ethernet ports as the Z87I actually comes with two.

The MSI B85I on the other hand is your typical entry-level motherboard with 5.1-channel audio, no heatsink on the VRM and less features in general. It also lacks 802.11bgn and Bluetooth but still has that mPCIe slot in case you want to pair it with something else or yours own 802.11 WiFi module.

In any case, MSI will certainly have a bunch of LGA1150 motherboards on the market and mini ITX form factor is no exception.
