HTC already sold 5 million HTC One smartphones

According to HTC executive

While HTC had some trouble with supply shortages back when it was launched, anonymous HTC exec noted to Wall Street Journal that despite everything the company already managed to sell over 5 million units.

While it is nowhere near the 10 million mark that Samsung Galaxy S4 hit just a few days ago, it is still a very result for a company like HTC. HTC One is certainly a good smartphone but back when it launched it still did not have to face the stiff competition and people were certainly holding their breath for Galaxy S4.

Now that Galaxy S4 is in full swing, we doubt that HTC will manage to sell get close to it, let alone outsell it. According to HTC it still has troubles and more orders that it can fulfill.

Unfortunately, this info came from an anonymous source but the HTC's official confirmation should come pretty soon.
