AMD has released a new SKU and a new line of Radeon branded memory, the AMD Radeon RG2133 Gamer Series memory and we now have first details regarding its actual specifications.
As it was the case with previously released RE1600 and the RP1866 Radeon memory SKUs, this one will also be manufactured and sold as either a "dual" 8GB (2x4GB) or "quad" 16GB kit (4x4GB). As it could be concluded from the name, the RG2133 works at 2133MHz and also features 10-11-11-30 latency settings at 1.65V.
Since AMD's APUs heavily depend on memory bandwidth it is no wonder that AMD claims up to 22 percent more FPS when this memory kit is paired up with Trinity/Richland APUs. Higher specifications come with a higher price tag as well so the AMD Radeon RG2133 16GB kit will be selling for US $155, a good US $30 higher than the RP1866 16GB kit.
