During the last three years, AMD has had a lot of success due to the launch of Ryzen, Threadripper and EPYC CPUs. With the second generation of Ryzen processors, the company has kept the right pressure on Intel and have sold a lot of units.
AMD recently held its most recent quarterly earnings meeting, they have confirmed that during Q2 the company has created a net income of $116 million. This is a huge improvement compared to the last year, where have seen a $42 million loss. Although the decline of the GPU sales, AMD has sold several gaming PCs during the past months.
The company is working very well also on server side. With the launch of AMD EPYC processors, the company is continuing to gain market share while competing against Intel’s Xeon line-up.
