Corsair Hydro H100i Pro with Zero RPM Fan Mode

Such a good feature

The first thing that actually came to my mind when reading the headline from Corsair actually was whether “Zero RPM” is going to be the new “RGB”. Maybe not entirely but it does have a catchy ring to it and Corsair is not the first company market a product with this term.

The Corsair Hydro H100i Pro ships with an integrated fan controller, which is taking care of turning on and off the fans once coolant temperatures drop below a certain threshold, thus enabling “zero RPM fan mode”. Basically this allows for semi-passive operation as we’ve come to know and like it from pixel accelerators since quite a few years.

A closer look at the H100i Pro reveals the same octagonally-shaped pump block we find with the H100i. Included in the delivery are two ML120 fans, which feature RGB lighting and operating speeds between 400 and 2400 RPM. Apparently two 120mm fans ask for a 240 x 120mm radiator which is the next item included in the package, while it’s rounded-off with mounting kits supporting LGA2066, LGA115x and AM4.
